LL should have been smart enough to try to establish themselves as a "common carrier" like the phone company--as other internet service providers have done--to protect themselves from liability for the actions of their subscribers. That was a no brainer that some junior rocket scientist at LL apparently overthought. Let's hope it doesn't sink them completely. At the very least, the code is open source so someone will be able to pick up where they left off. Um, yep.
