Where were you born?
Okay bloggers - time for a game. I haven’t seen a meme game in play for a while, so I’m going to start one that might be “historically useful”. Lots of you seem to be coming up (or maybe even passed) on your rezz day.
Remember where you first rezzed? Not n00b island, but the infohub you popped out into the world of Second Life in? Was it memorable enough for you to remember now? I entered the world of Second Life at the Bear infohub. The Bear infohub is pretty cool, with a North woods cabin motif, complete with a bear. It was almost a cozy place to be. Certainly a lot better than the mega infohubs they have now.

Rumor has it that Linden Labs is slowly demolishing the older, cooler infohubs and selling off the land. Some of them are lost forever. Here’s the game, first, remember where you entered SL. So, let’s try to save some pictures of these places before they are gone. Take some photos of your original info hub and post them to your blog. If you don’t have a blog, post them to flickr, or maybe Google Pages, Google Web Picassa, or some other similar place.

Post a link back to this post, and comment here that you’ve made a set of snapshots. Then maybe we can put together a booklet or something of some of these now older, cool places before they’re gone.

Destiny was hard on me since my rezzday. I finished the Orientation Island, clicked my first teleport and crrashed. Because one cannot get back to OI or Help Island, next time I logged in I appeared somewhere on Mainland. I really can’t remember where. The life started in its full, there wasw no time to look around and check the signs.

Waterhead. A rather ugly welcome area close to the plots of the Lindens. Still it was a nice crowd there. Later I found out you can actually set any infohub to be your home, so I chose the Hobos at Calleta.

Have no idea. Too eager to move ahead, I cliked somwhere and got tped to this huge shopping mall. I remember lots of slinger chairs and shops where all I could do was look at. And I remember being stuck in there for almost a fortnight, not knowing how to get how of there, too shy to ask.
But then again, I’m a bit at a lost even after almost a whole year, lol

Love the idea, Veyron. Here’s my story!

I _really_ don’t remember. The only thing I do remember is that I skipped most of the tutorials/learn this thingies on Orientation Island. I figured that I would learn by doing so. Which led to being 6 months old before I could elegantly land after flying. =D I think I used search soon and ended up at Elements/GOL.

I would LOVE to do this, but I can’t remember where I rezzed… I just remember there were lots of paths to walk up/down, crossing a stream etc. and then I seemed to end up in a mall type place with a tram station in it… I hunted down a few freebies and then made my way into the big, scary world and haven’t looked back since…
