De-Ruthing Trick

Here’s a trick that works to de-Ruth someone you see as Ruthed.  It seems idiotic, but it works - and hey - this is Second Life, so it is apropo.  Change groups, from one to other.  Then wait a few moments, and that should do it.  Unless it’s a really laggy sim, then it might take a bit longer.  That’s all.  Go figure.  I forgot who gave me this tip.

    o.O
This is so crazy that it must work. Thanks.

LOL! I just hope I can remember it! Sounds daft enough to work! :)

Yes! It used to work, someone told me to do this aaaaaaaaaages ago, apparently if you wave your mouse over non rezzing textures that works too, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t for me!

    Must remember these tips!

The ‘mouse waving’ tip over grey textures DOES work, I can verify that…

As for deruthing, I use a tool that basically launches me 1000m into the air and then back again, which forces a complete redraw ;)

Nice tip! (Although it’s ages I have used it.) Right clicking non-rezzing textures often helps for me. (or so I think ;))

  6. Vint Falken says:

I have used it => had to be ‘I had the pleasure of experiencing being ruthed’

  7. dandellion Kimban says:

Yes, right clicking non-rezzing textures helps, but that’s kindsa expected.

[...] Supercharged by Veyron - De-Ruthing Trick - Title says it all. What’s great, is is that easy that I could sum it up here. Of course, it would take the use of linking to it away, so I’m not going to tell… ;) [...]
