How not to Charm a girl in SL

This is a great post by lashxevious, How not to Charm a girl in SL. Covering some obvious points like moving too fast, cheesy lame Casanovary, IM whoring, Muscley-Caveman-Fabio drool, and of course Desecrating Dante. I haven’t seen too many of the big ugly out of proportion guys. You know with the giant arms and shoulders and tiny little heads? ::sigh:: Maybe that should be a contest?

Male N00bs - Shape up School Just For You

Hey, now here’s just what the male n00bs need.  Classes on how to dress and behave in SL.  I can’t you how much of an improvement some n00bs get when they make some basic changes to their avie.  Plus learning some basic manners would be a real improvement.  From the news article:

Being a newbie in Second Life is hard for almost everyone, but Brianna Beresford believes it’s particularly tough on guys–and she’s hoping to make some money doing something about it.  Beresford’s Virtual Male Institute will offer classes on SL skills for men, from avatar improvement and upgrades to interpersonal skills.

Sounds good.  Now, how many are going to sign up?

Slice Me Up

I’m sure this has happened to most of you. You make a “friend”. Exchange cards. Maybe you talk to this person now and then, or whatever. Then some day you realize, they are no longer on your friend list. They’ve cut up your card.

I can’t really recall cutting up any card from an avatar I’ve exchanged with. I have heard that some avies prune their friends list now and then. What do you do? Do you prune your list?

Do you try to find out why they cut your card? Let them go? It seems to be an area of etiquette in Second Life that has no Real Life counterpart.
