I’ve been using BlogHUD now for a while and I’ve found it to be kinda fun and useful. What I really like is the upload snapshot feature where you send a postcard to BlogHUD and then they post it. I tend not to use the actually HUD that much, because it doesn’t include a picture. It’s something like SnapZilla, but you can link BlogHUD into your “real” blog. I’m working on doing something more like that.
I am working on some layout changes or blogging software changes to accommodate the shots.
The biggest part of shooting pictures with the BlogHUD is what is called in the photographic world reportage photography. Rather than artistic photography, something that Vint does, this is more of a picture as I see it. Second Life changes so fast that it can be disconcerting at times. What’s here today is gone tomorrow, usually without any warning. People disappear. I started looking at BlogHUD of a photo album of my life and experiences in Second Life from time to time.
And everyone now and then I score a candid shot, or a famous Second Life person, or even myself having way to much fun flirting, just like any reporter does….
If you don’t blog now, you can get a limited copy of the BlogHUD for free and the full features version is L$900 with lifetime upgrades. Actually a pretty cheap price. Give it a try, you might really enjoy it and save some of your own memories.

I was searching around for some additional pirate accessories for the upcoming party, I remembered this really cool pirate car from this blog entry in Motorati.

Wow! Very cool…. So, I decided to teleport over to the Pontiac sims and start searching for the car, perchance to see if it is for sale. Not much luck finding anything. Well, while I’m here, I might as well check out the bikini car wash.
Very nice build - complete with some freebies and some other interesting things. Too bad I missed the grand opening.

Then I noticed a large group of avatars, so I decided to investigate.
It turns out it was caLLie cLine giving a tour of Motorati with two of the Motorati girls. The tour was just ending, and I was about to leave when Amanda Shinji popped in to see Callie. She’s the builder of the car I was looking for!
After swapping some fashion information and she told me where the car is on display - out in front of the Pontiac sim. She is quite amusing - having built several of the cars in on display.
She is also the first girl I think who knew what a Veyron is. In fact, when I asked her if she saw the video of the Veyron doing 250 mph, she said she did. Described it as “like watching a porn video.” LMAO.
Amanda has a blog but not a lot of traffic - and I’ve invited her to the party this weekend and the blogger group. Maybe if we’re lucky she’ll bring the Pirate car to at least display.
Yo ho ho!

I own some land in a group of private sims known as Otherland. It’s a pretty interesting group of private sims with interesting terrain and some pretty neat private houses. It is almost all residential with restrictions on what you can build and how. So, it does not look anything like the mainland, and it is not boring looking like some other private sims.
One of the most interesting builds in all of Second Life is Kasteel Verloren in the Verloren sim. The castle occupies over half of the sim and has quite a few floors you can explore. Just seeing it is worth the trip.
I blogged about our adventures there, and Wrath has a more detailed (maybe selective) account of what happened, and some good pictures.
I like to wander around Otherland just seeing some of the interesting builds and people. You can buy land in Otherland, but it can actually be hard to find an open lot.
See if you can find the Stargate they have built in one of the sims (hint: it’s underwater - but visible from the air).

Vint, Zoe, Wrath and I were out the other night and had a pretty good time. Vint and Wrath have some good shots of the adventure on their blogs, including some that I took of Queen Vint on the throne on Snapzilla.
All and all a pretty good time, even more fun when Wrath went into the sauna in the castle while we were in the hot tub. There’s even another bikini to be seen….

Since is seems now that everyone is going Neko these days. Even the boys are going this new fashionable route. I don’t want to be left behind the fashion curve….
Now I haven’t added guns yet, or a uniform, but here’s a shot of my new Neko with some weaponry. This outfit is from Artemis Fate, who is one of Second Life’s original Neko girls and you can find her in OMG Magazine as well. She sells some pretty interesting clothing as KO Industries. You can find KO in the Gibson sim. I’d give you a SLURL to it, but you’ll have more find exploring Gibson looking for it….

Another shot of me thinking of my new Neko appearance….

And finally me laying around Svarga admiring the scenery.

UPDATE: As a minor experiment, I put these pictures up on Google Picassa, so you can view them in higher resolution. The album is here.

Vint needs your vote for her Easter Egg over in Paradise Lost. It’s a pretty cool looking and working egg. And besides, how can you not vote for such a hawt avie sitting so seductively on her egg?
